Dollar Bill Y’all!

“Tongue tie is just a fad created by lactation consultants trying to become rich.”

This GIF is IBCLCs all over the world, passing out the riches we've earned from recommending a baby be evaluated by a releasing provider and seek complimentary care from manual therapists (ie chiropractor, craniosacral therapist, occupational therapist...).

Truth: We make ZERO dollars by sending a baby to another provider. ZERO.

A frenotomy is a procedure that allows an IBCLC to help you and your baby optimize feeding with a tongue (and/or lip) that has full range of motion. It's the bridge that allows lactation therapy to come together to improve breastfeeding or bottle feeding.

Manual therapies are the pillars which we find most tied babies need under their bridge. We work together to help your baby. It's definitely a team effort!

Lactation Consultants will support you whether you choose to go for evaluation/therapy or not. Either way, you should understand the risks/benefits of action/inaction so you can make an informed decision that works for your family.

I'll see you guys around town....cruisin' in my Mom Mobile...passin' out monopoly junior money......🤑😉
