Covid-19
CDC Update 12/9/2021! This is specifically speaks to Covid exposure and human milk feeding. More resources are listed at the bottom of this page.
Consults:
Home:
I will wear a mask throughout our consult in order to decrease the amount of germs (not just covid) we exchange. More than once I have gotten a call within 24 hours of seeing a family that they are covid positive. This is why I continue to mask up—to protect all da bebes!
I ask that you and your partner wear a mask if you have any symptoms of anything (even allergies). I’ll be less than 6 inches from your face at some point during our visit and don’t want to risk inhaling your bugs.
I will not come to your home if I or any of my family members are showing signs of illness. If a home visit is critical when I am unavailable, I will find you a lactation consultant who is able to see you in person.
Updated 7/2/23
Virtual:
All visits can be done virtually, though some may require a hands-on follow up visit.
See the Virtual Consults page for more information
When possible, virtual consults will be done with Google Meet (HIPAA compliant).
Everyone has been hit hard financially by this crisis. If you are having financial difficulty and need to pay incrementally, please contact me and we will work out a plan.

Safe formula preparation: BOIL water to kill bacteria in powdered formula. Do not let water sit more than 30 min after boiling. Powdered formula needs to be heated enough (at least 70deg C/185deg F) to kill bacteria regardless if you’re using bottled or filtered water. This is for all formula preparation, not just during our current pandemic.
